TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Hereafter Cadillac Hire Online shall be known as the Company and the person named in the Your Contact Details in the Quotation Form; or named on the Booking Confirmation shall be known as the Hirer.

The Hirer is deemed to accept responsibility for the Passengers travelling in the vehicle.

The Event Date is the Date of the wedding which is specified in the Quotation Form.

1 – DEPOSIT & BALANCE

A Quotation is requested from the Company using the online Quotation Form but this is not a confirmed booking. A Booking Request Form will be sent to the Hirer which must be returned with the Deposit requested and duly signed. A Booking Confirmation will be provided after the agreed Deposit has been received. The balance of payment must be made in full, at least 28 days before the Event Date. For bookings less than 28 days before the Event Date, payment is due in full immediately at the time of booking. A non-refundable deposit of £25 is required to secure a booking. The balance is non-refundable from 4 weeks prior to the Event Date.

2 – CANCELLATION

Cancellation of Company vehicle hire must be made in writing by the Hirer. The Deposit is non-refundable and is the cancellation fee if a cancellation of Company vehicles is made greater than 28 days before the Event Date.

The Company does not accept responsibility for adverse weather conditions that may result in cancellation, for example, flooding, storms, snow, etc. Should the Company need to cancel the Company vehicle hire then a full refund shall be given to the Hirer.

3 – HIRE PERIOD

Period of Hire is from the 1st Pickup Time to either the:

  • Time of the wedding service; or
  • Time of the wedding reception; or
  • Time to arrive at onward destination for the wedding couple; or
  • Time to arrive at onward destination for the wedding guests plus travel time to the last Return Address of the wedding guests;

specified in the Quotation Form unless otherwise agreed verbally and stated on the Booking Confirmation by the Company. Any additional hire is at the discretion of the Chauffeur, who represents the Company, and at a rate to be agreed by the Chauffeur. Any additional hire fees are payable on the Event Date by Passengers to the Chauffeur. An agreement to additional hire may not be possible if the vehicle is due to continue on to a subsequent booking.

Notes: Please allow sufficient time to get to the onward destination at the Time to arrive at onward destination from either the:

  • Onward destination Pickup Time for wedding couple; or
  • Onward destination Pickup Time for wedding guests.

4 – JOURNEY DETAILS & CHANGES

Journey details are as specified on the Quotation Form and as confirmed in the Booking Confirmation. After this point any changes to either: timings, locations or contact telephone numbers are to be advised in writing to the Company, as soon as possible and at least 7 days before the Event Date. As all routes are planned and timed in advance, any changes and/or additions made on the day may incur an additional charge. The Company do not accept responsibility for any restrictions relating to vehicle access at any Pickup Addresses or Return Addresses.

5 – BREAKDOWN

In the unlikely event of vehicle breakdown, the Company will, time permitting, make every effort to secure a replacement vehicle, either from the fleet of the Company; or that of another company; and if a replacement vehicle is supplied, which varies from the type from the vehicle reserved, a small refund of fees paid will be made by the Company as compensation for any disappointment or loss of enjoyment. If a replacement vehicle cannot be supplied, a full refund of fees will be made by the Company.

6 – PUNCTUALITY

The Company makes every possible provision for ensuring that agreed timings are adhered to. However, no compensation will be made for late journeys, which are beyond the reasonable control of the Company, or which are a result of Passengers not being ready:

  • In time for the 1st Pickup Time; or
  • In time to get to the reception at the Time of the wedding reception; or
  • For the Onward destination Pickup Time for wedding couple; or
  • For the Onward destination Pickup Time for wedding guests;

specified in the Quotation Form. Although the Chauffeur will use their discretion to find the best alternative route, the Company does not accept responsibility for any delay that may result from:

  • Adverse traffic conditions, for example, accidents, traffic queues, road works, etc.
  • Adverse road conditions, for example, wet or icy roads, etc.
  • Adverse weather conditions, for example, flooding, storms, snow, etc.

7 – USAGE OF VEHICLES

The Company hires out vehicles that require a great deal of time and care to keep it in a first class condition. We would greatly appreciate it if you would NOT EAT, DRINK or SMOKE in Company vehicles. However, please note that CONFETTI and RICE is ACCEPTABLE for weddings. Can you also please ensure that all Passengers refrain from wearing clothing with metal studs or other sharp objects as they could damage Company vehicles. Please read the section on DAMAGE TO COMPANY VEHICLES.

8 – DAMAGE TO COMPANY VEHICLES

The Chauffeur will do their utmost to stop any damage occurring. However, the Hirer accepts responsibility for the conduct of all Passengers, and after being presented with written and/or photographic evidence, agrees to compensate the Company for:

  • Damage to Company vehicles, caused by Passengers, for example, no hard objects should be thrown at the vehicle (e.g. coins);
  • Company vehicle valet cost, deemed necessary due to the action of Passengers;
  • The removal of any items from a Company vehicle by Passengers, for example – floral arrangements;
  • Loss of revenue, if Company vehicles are unfit for subsequent hire, due to the actions of Passengers.

9 – CLOTHING & OTHER ARTICLES

The Company cannot be held responsible for loss of, or damage to, clothing and other articles belonging to the Passengers, either during or after the Period of Hire. It is the responsibility of the Hirer and any Passengers to ensure that all belongings are taken with them when exiting the vehicle.

10 – JOURNEY TERMINATION

The Company is committed to making sure that all Passengers enjoy their event journeys. However, the Chauffeur reserves the right to terminate any journey if they deem the conduct of any Passenger or associates, family, friends, etc to be either:

  • Potentially hazardous to themselves or other Passengers;
  • To be at risk of causing damage to the vehicles;
  • To be of an illegal nature; or
  • Abusive.
